Chris DElia Replaced By Tig Notaro In New Netflix Film

Fox News reported today that Chris D’Elia‘s career is continuing to take hits. The outlet says Chris will be edited out and replaced by fellow comedian, Tig Notaro, in the post-production phase of a new movie from Zack Snyder.

Fans of the comedian know he was recently axed by his agency, CAA, due to multiple allegations of sexual misconduct involving young girls. The 40-year-old was accused of messaging minors on Instagram. According to Fox News, Chris has been edited out of the Zack Snyder film, Army of the Dead.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed earlier this month that the film finished its first phase of filming this past year and it was in the middle of post-production amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The entire entertainment industry felt the effects of the coronavirus restrictions which led to the temporary postponement of the majority of productions.

While D’Elia’s career has taken a significant hit, Notaro’s has contined to flourish. The comedienne has been busy working on her acting chops following the success of her own show, One Mississippi.

She also appeared in Star Trek: Discovery. Fox News says Notaro, who is a cancer survivor, first came to prominence as a result of her standup routines. She earned two Grammy nominations for her work.

As it was previously reported, D’Elia came under for messaging underaged girls on Instagram, including one accuser who shared screenshots of messages from the period between 2014 and 2016. She was 16 at the time.

In a statement to TMZ, D’Elia apologized by claiming he has “said and done things that might have offended people during my career,” but he has never pursued underaged girls. D’Elia says all of his relationships have been consensual.

Interestingly, over the past few weeks, the #MeToo movement has spread to the music industry as well as the comedy scene, with comics like Bryan Callen and Jeff Ross coming under fire as well.

A woman documented her alleged relationship with Ross through a Facebook page which subsequently went viral amid the newest stage of the #MeToo movement.
