Jimmy Nicholson, Holly Kingston get married: Bachelor stars wedding

Publish date: 2024-06-05

The Bachelor Australia contestants Jimmy Nicholson and Holly Kingston have walked down the aisle, two years after they fell in love on national television.

Sydney pilot Jimmy was the Bachelor for the show’s ninth season back in 2021, eventually choosing Holly as his winner – and the pair have been together ever since.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the pair wed in a small ceremony at Nicholson’s parents home in the ritzy north Sydney suburb of Palm Beach, before a reception at the Church Point restaurant Pasadena.

The bride and groom both wore white. Photos from the ceremony showed them sharing a kiss.

The wedding comes almost exactly a year after Jimmy and Holly announced their engagement, revealing to Stellar magazine at the time that he had gotten down on one knee during a six-week Italian holiday.

“I went in [to the jeweller] with my sister, I had a mask, sunnies and a hat on,” Nicholson said of his attempts to go incognito when buying the ring.

“They opened the store up early for us. I just didn’t want to risk anyone leaking [the proposal plans] or anything.”

And they’ll be headed back to Europe for their honeymoon, which the Daily Telegraph reports will begin in Italy, and finish in Greece and Spain.

Nicholson last year suggested they would be busy on their honeymoon.

“I’d say we will certainly start trying [to start a family] after the honeymoon,” Nicholson added. “[Or] on the honeymoon.”

They become the fifth couple from the Aussie Bachelor franchise to tie the knot: Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich, Sam Wood and Snezana Markoski, Matty J and Laura Byrne and Georgia Love and Lee Elliott are the other married Bach success stories.

Meanwhile, during a recent appearance on Married At First Sight star Al Perkins and Taku Chimwaza’s Back To Reality podcast, Nicholson let slip a little trade secret about filming The Bachelor.

He said it was a big no-no to use tongue when kissing in front of the cameras – and he found out the hard way.

“Kissing on a reality TV show, I didn’t know this at the time because I’ve never been into [reality TV] but Holly was well versed because she loves reality TV,” he explained.

“So, no tongue is to be used when you kiss on a reality TV show. Otherwise, it looks disgusting.”
